Road Signage

R&M Lighting currently offers a complete road signage service. We work with our key suppliers to design, supply and install everything from simple one post sign installations to large structurally re-enforced ADS sign bases on all kinds of roads from small estate roads to motorways.

The road signage side of the business has grown significantly over the years and as a result we now tender for stand-alone road signage projects for most of the UK’s major contractors, we recently secured our largest standalone road signage package on the A380 (South Devon Link Road) which is expected to have a final value of circa £350,000.

Over the last few years, R&M Lighting has seen a massive increase in the requirement for Variable Message Signs (VMS) on our roads and in our town centres. We have installed a number of standard vehicle activated speed limit signs on many recent projects, however our most challenging VMS installation to date was that of two very large bespoke VMS Signs in central London on behalf of Eurosigns, which involved working in a very confined area with a Hiab and two MEWPs and required close liaison with the manufacturer, TM companies and the end user.
